Two hundred twenty grievances, many of which concern Article 8, have been advanced to Step B without management's position because they failed to meet with Jenny at Step A. The Step B team received them last week but will not meet on them for several weeks. In the meantime, management will continue to staff as they see fit, and we will continue to file grievances when we believe they are in violation of the contract.
It is unfortunate that management has taken this position but I am confident we will prevail eventually. Please continue to give a fair days work for a fair days pay, working safely and efficiently, as the hours will continue to be long and the task arduous.
